Become Part of the FGCU Hockey Team In 2005-2006

Open tryouts are offered twice per year for any interested player. Players must wear full protective equipment.

All players must pay a team travel fee to defer team costs. Your individual fee payment goes toward team travel costs and practice ice rental. FGCU Hockey travels by charter bus and flies Delta Airlines out of state. Payment of the travel fee is split into two installments to assist team members in their personal budgeting. Actual cost of team travel is not reflected in this fee structure as most travel occurs during fall semester.

Team members must meet eligibility requirements outlined by FGCU and the American Collegiate Hockey Association. See eligibility requirements here.

2005-2006 Travel/Practice Ice Fee: $1000

You May Pay in Installments*:
Installment #1: Fall, 2005
$500 Due September 15th

Installment #2: Spring, 2005
$500 Due January 10th.

*All Travel Fees are non-refundable. Fees will not be pro-rated. Players accept team invitations understanding it is the coaches' prerogative to determine playing time for each individual player. Travel fees are for the regular season only, and do not cover post-season play.

Your travel/ice fee helps cover the following team costs.

  • Team Transportion to All Away Games (not food)
  • Lodging During All Overnight Away Games
  • Practice Ice Rental Fee

Please be aware that the travel fee provides only partial coverage of actual costs for team travel. Team fundraising is necessary to cover these and other team costs.
