Accommodations For Invited Teams

Exclusive ACHA Team Travel Desk
Because March is peak tourism season in southwest Florida rooms are at a premium. In peak season rooms not only have limited availability but the room charge may be as high as $300 per night. This sets up a situation when those team not being able to book rooms until the last minute may have difficulty finding hotel or may be forced to pay premium prices.

The 2006 ACHA Nationals planning committee has established a team travel desk in order to assist teams in finding lodging for the tournament. The pupose of the travel desk is to find and hold accommodations as close to Germain Arena as possible while maintaining a per room price range of $119-$190. The nationals travel desk will work with your team in obtaining the best room price and location possible. The national travel desk is a service of the nationals planning committee. The organizing committee does not receive any financial benefit for providing this service. It is a free service intended to make you trip to nationals easier.

How The Travel Desk Works
Please keep in mind the nationals travel desk is for ACHA teams, their players and staff only. Fans and family must make their personal arrangements for lodging through other means.

Currently the nationals travel desk has blocked out a minimum of 12 rooms for each team participating in nationals at participating hotels in the Fort Myers/Estero/Bonita area. Some teams will want more rooms and some teams may require fewer than twelve.

Unlike previous national events where teams had to contact select hotels on their own to check availability the 2006 Travel Desk has specific rooms in quality hotels currently on hold. Teams looking to book rooms will be matched with a participating hotel and the travelling team needs only to confirm the reservation with a credit card.

This Travel Desk system allows us to guarantee rooms for your team as close to Germain Arena as possible while containing the per room cost.

How To Contact The Travel Desk
Teams are encouraged to make their committments to lodging as soon as possible. A local travel agency, Royal Shell Vacations, has donated their services to assist ACHA teams in booking lodging.
