ACHA DIII National Championship
Germain Arena is the premier sports entertainment venue in southwest Florida.
It is only fitting the Germain was selected as the host facility for the
ACHA DIII 2006 Nationals.

Germain
Arena is located south of the airport near the junction of
I-75 South and Corkscrew Road. The arena is the home of the ECHL Florida
Everblades and supports a very successful youth hockey program. The hockey
complex houses a 7,000 seat professional arena with sports bar.

Adjacent
to the main arena are two NHL sized recreation rinks. The rink furthest
from the main bowl is named the Green Rink and contains seating behind
the player benches. Bench seating is available on a first come first serve
basis. There are four locker accompanying the Green Rink.

The middle
rink is the Blue Rink. This rink features elevated seating located on
top of the four locker rooms. The bench seating faces the team benches
across the ice surface. The Blue Rink is the home rink for the FGCU Hockey
team. Here you will see the ACHA logo painted in the ice.

The entire
complex houses multiple food service locations and the full-service Everblades
Pro Shop. Additional hockey products are available at a local business
named Hockey Plus (239-390-7646) just minutes to the west on Corkscrew
Road.

Driving
Directions To Germain Arena
From the North: Take I-75 to Exit 128/20 (Alico Road).
Head East on Alico Road to Ben Hill Griffin Parkway. Take Ben Hill Griffin
for approximately 3.5 miles south. The Arena is located on the right-hand
side.
From
the South: Take I-75 to Exit 123/19 (Corkscrew Road). Head East
on Corkscrew Road. Take Ben Hill Griffin north and the Arena is located
on the left-hand side.
Emergency
and Medical Services
Security and EMT services will be available on site during the national
tournament. If you have a situation that requires security assistance
please contact either a uniformed security person or a FGCU Hockey staff
member. Arena personnel are also available for questions.
On site
EMT services will be available for all games of the tournament. The closest
hospital to Germain Arena is Gulf Coast Hospital to the north in Fort
Myers. You can learn more about Gulf

Directions:
Germain Arena to Gulf Coast Hospital
Exit arena parking lot and go south on Ben Hill Griffin Parkway to Corkscrew
Road. Turn west on to Corscrew and take the I-75 North ramp. Continue
north and exit at Daniels Parkway (exit 131/21). Turn left and follow
Daniels west to a stop light at intersection of Daniels and Metro Parkway,
turn left. The Gulf Coast Hospital entrance will be your first left. The
emergency room is located at the back of the hospital.

Puck
Risk
Be aware of the risk of pucks ejected from the playing surface. This can
occur at any time during, before, or after the game. If you are struck
by a puck and need medical assistance please contact tournament or Germain
Arena staff.
Outside Containers & Beverages
Outside food, containers, and beverages are not permitted in the Germain
Arena complex.
Fan Behavior
FGCU Hockey and Germain Arena have a zero tolerance policy regarding the
following behaviors:
- Obscene
or vulgar language or gestures.
- Taunting
of players, coaches or fans.
- Physical
violence or threat of physical violence.
- Throwing
of objects onto the playing surface.
- Climbing
on or abuse of the rink boards or glass.
- Airhorns,
sirens, whistles and bull horns are not permitted.
Any
person behaving as noted will be immediately ejected from the Germain
Arena complex and may be subject to continued arena access restrictions.
